When ordering name tags, please keep these points in mind:
- Name tags should NOT be ordered until the candidate actually makes the weekend
- Name tags must be paid for when ordered
- There are two name tag styles available: Pin-on is $8; Magnet is $9
- The name tag committee is available on Saturday night only; table is set up in the lobby
- Name tags can be mailed if $8 postage is paid when purchased, otherwise they need to be picked up before Mass on Saturday evening.

Would you like to know more about the Cursillo movement, recapping the weekend, living your Fourth Day, the purpose and history? A 70-page booklet “Our Fourth Day”, published by the National Ultreya Publications, is available for purchase through our local Cursillo Board. The cost is $5.00. The booklet is available for purchase on Saturday evening of each Cursillo weekend at the name tag table. Or if you would like to make arrangements to pick up the booklet or have it mailed to you contact Nancy Orcutt 217-740-3993.
We have created a Book of Remembrance for those in our Cursillo family who have passed from this life to be with Christ. This book of names is presented at the weekend masses of Cursillo in order that our deceased family members may benefit from our prayers of intercession. At each Mass we pray the Nicene Creed in which we acknowledge our belief in the Communion of Saints. One hand helps the other. May we never forget those who have gone before us “marked with the sign of faith”.
To have your loved one’s name placed in our Book of Remembrance, we need three pieces of information:
1. Name of the deceased
2. Cursillo number (if known)
3. Date of death
4. City and State

It has been said that the reason one makes a Cursillo is to form Group Reunions. This “reunion of friends” who have made Cursillo meet regularly to give one another spiritual support and apostolic encouragement. It is only when a relationship is developed in which people feel free to share their lives with each other that the full impact of group reunion will take place. Group reunions are extremely important to continue the spirit of fellowship found on the Cursillo weekend.

The “Gift of Cursillo” is a scholarship fund that assists candidates and team to offset the fees of a Cursillo weekend. The “gift” amount is $100 and is available to both candidates and team. A candidate or sponsor can request the “gift” by writing on the application that they need financial assistance or email the application committee at quincycursillonfp@gmail.com. A team member requesting the scholarship should speak with the Board Rep for that weekend.
Quincy Cursillo strongly supports the Great River Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) and Quest programs, which are also held at the Franciscan Retreat Center in Quincy.
TEC is for young people age 16-21. It is a 3-Day weekend that begins Saturday morning at 9:30am and ends Monday evening 6:00-6:30pm. Candidates ages 16-21 cost $50.00 and observers ages 22+ cost $100.00. Anyone of any faith denomination ages 16 and older are welcome to participate.
Quest is a 24 hour Christian experience for teens age 13-15. Quest is held at the Franciscan Retreat Center and lasts from 6:00pm Friday to 5:30pm Saturday. The cost for a candidate is $50. Adult observers interested in working with youth are also welcome.
