Cursillo Valentine's Dinner/Dance

Come join us for an elegant evening of dinner and dancing at the 2nd annual, Quincy Cursillo Valentine’s Dinner Dance Gala.

Where: Ambiance Banquet Center, 5225 Kochs Lane, Quincy
When: February 11, 2012
Time: Mass at 5:00 to be held on site; Social at 6:00 pm; Dinner at 6:30 pm; Dancing to follow
Cost: $35 per person.

This year’s music provided by the HornDogs, a Quincy favorite! They play blues, jazz and older rock-n-roll numbers. You can look them up on Facebook. With every ticket purchased, you have a chance at winning a netbook pc!

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will be available at the January Cursillo and all Area Reps will have tickets to sell, but if anyone would like to reserve tickets at the door, mail your check, made payable to Quincy Cursillo, to Quincy Cursillo Valentine’s Gala, P.O. Box 3153, Quincy Illinois, 62301-3153. Please enclose name and phone number. Deadline for reservations is Feb. 8.

In addition we are looking for donated raffle items and Table Sponsors. Table sponsorships are $100.00. In return for the $100.00 donation, the sponsor’s business name will be displayed on the tables. If you have raffle items or want to be a Table Sponsor contact Mike Holbrook at 217-653-5555.

Cursillo Book of Remembrance
We have created a Book of Remembrance for those in our Cursillo family who have passed from this life to be with Christ. This book of names is presented at the weekend masses of Cursillo in order that our deceased family members may benefit from our prayers of intercession. At each mass we pray the Nicene Creed in which we acknowledge our belief in the Communion of Saints. One hand helps the other. May we never forget those who have gone before us “marked with the sign of faith”.
To have your loved one’s name placed in our Book of Remembrance, we need three pieces of information:
1. Name of the deceased
2. Cursillo number (if known)
3. Date of death

"Our Fourth Day" Booklet available for purchase
Would you like to know more about the Cursillo movement, recapping the weekend, living your Fourth Day, the purpose and history? A 70-page booklet "Our Fourth Day", published by the National Ultreya Publications, is available for purchase through our local Cursillo Board. The cost is $5.00 plus $1.75 for postage if mailed totaling $6.75. Please send a check along with a note of request to:
